My mother marvels now at the fact that in the 1950s-1960s she ironed sheets, underwear, socks and even diapers! That was what was done in England. Not sure if it was EVER that insane here! But yes, way too much ironing. And she's still ironing the next day!
I am so grateful that we don't have to iron so much. It seems that Ella and her girls are always ironing, too.
