May went home to dinner. Fred went to Boston. Sent an order to R.H. White for $12.28. Going some. Went home in P.M. Went over to Mary's.
Note: Not sure what "going some" means. Maybe "good for me"?
Transcription of a 1915 - 1919 diary written by my husband's grandmother Ada May (Grimshaw) Illingworth who lived in Springfield, Vermont.
My grandparents from VT used that phrase "Going some" to demote outrage. Sounds like she thought RH White's prices were high to me.
