Wed. Lovely

Ironed in A.M. Shirley came to play with May. I went to bed in P.M. Rehearsal at Mrs. Dodges. Ice cream with Gladys Myhely [?] Hobbs - Safford & Auber. Firing off Cape Cod.

Note : I remember vaguely hearing about the German shots of Cape Cod. Anyone know about this?

    My grandparents were living on Cape Cod at the time, with my toddler father. :)

    Did you any hear any stories about this from your Dad? Not that he would remember but I wonder if he heard about it from his parents?

    I did, but only vague information. He remembered his parents talking about it once, but he was still only 8 or 10, so the details were not as important to him as the excitement that it had happened.
