Transcription of a 1915 - 1919 diary written by my husband's grandmother Ada May (Grimshaw) Illingworth who lived in Springfield, Vermont.
Poor May--and poor Ada. It must have been terrible not to have antibiotics for ear infections. It's interesting the way her diary weaves in and out of the war, the way Ella's does.
