Washington's Birthday. School did not keep & E. did no work in P.M. Went home in P.M. & made purple Eaton. Went to Masonic party with E. in Eve. Magician & supper.
Note: I have no idea what a "purple eaton" is but Washington's Birthday was certainly a much bigger deal back then!

There is a pudding called an "Eton mess". I wonder if Ada just spelled it wrong and made some kind of dessert for the Washington birthday

"Eton mess" doesn't sound very appetizing! I bet you're right though. I hadn't thought of food because I was still thinking of her making costumes.
