Transcription of a 1915 - 1919 diary written by my husband's grandmother Ada May (Grimshaw) Illingworth who lived in Springfield, Vermont.
Was she relieved that Ma went down town? I love it.
ReplyDeleteShe's actually only ever loving and caring about her mother. It's strange from our perspective, but she's never critical of her mom anywhere in her diaries that I can remember.
ReplyDeleteI think she's referring here to the fact that her mother has been unable to go down town for quite a while because she's been ill.
